From 2003 to 2008 Martin Krake was accompanied on his journeys by a professional video team who captured his extraordinary style and the quality of his work in moving images. Since 2008, however, he has been shooting the video footage himself, in additional to the still photographs.
This enables him to implement his concepts consistently and uncompromisingly in two different media: photography and film. Today, therefore, every stage of the creative process in all aspects of the work - from choosing the models and location to processing the images and editing the video footage - is entirely in his hands.
All the scenes to be viewed on the website as video clips have been staged only for the video production. It's not about photo shoots, filmed secondarily on the side, but rather actual little films in which the models can summon up all their skills of persuasion strictly for the film camera!
